Jaina Solo was the eldest child of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, and was named after her paternal grandmother. She had two brothers, Jacen and Anakin. Like her father, uncle and maternal grandfather, Jaina was a talented mechanic and pilot from a young age.

Jaina started her Jedi training at the age of thirteen with her twin brother at her uncle's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4 and had many adventures with her friends Lowbacca, Tenel Ka, Zekk and her brother, Jacen.

As her training progressed, Jaina would go through many trials as a teenager and as an adult, learning harsh lessons about life and the galaxy in general. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, after the failed mission to Mykr and the death of her brother, Jaina trod dangerously toward the darkside. She was later redeemed and joined Rogue Squadron.

She has also been romantically link with, Jagged Fel, nephew of the famous pilot Wedge Antilles and son of Soontir Fel. The young woman felt something stir within her, and she admired Jagged Fel for his piloting skills and icy cool demeanor.
