After graduating from the Academy of Carida along with Kyle Katarn, Shira Brie was trained as an Imperial Intelligence agent and underwent numerous biological alterations to her body's defenses, giving her accelerated healing and a high pain threshold. After the Battle of Yavin, she was dispatched by Vader to infiltrate the Rebel Alliance.

Her beauty and intelligence made her a popular member of the Alliance, and lover of Luke Skywalker. While serving with the Rebels she worked her way into Rogue Squadron

Shortly before the Battle of Hoth, Rogue Squadron attempted to infiltrate the Imperial Armada using captured TIE fighters. Both Luke Skywalker and Shira Brie were chosen to pilot the modified TIE fighters. During the mission Shira Brie's covert training took over and she attempted to shoot down Luke's fighter. With the help of the FORCE, Skywalker had evaded Brie's attack and returned fire, presumably killing her.
